Police K9s are an important tool for law enforcement agencies because they provide a range of valuable services and benefits. K9s have a powerful sense of smell and are trained to detect drugs, explosives, firearms, and other items. They are often used to search buildings, vehicles, and other areas where illegal substances/dangerous materials or dangerous criminals may be present. They also assist with search and rescue operations and they help keep our officers safe.

Our K9 unit has monthly and yearly certification requirements. In addition, training and adding proper equipment to allow our unit to function, can be challenging. As a sponsor, you are ensuring that our hard working K9 Teams are properly equipped, trained and cared for.

Our 4th Annual Nampa PD K9 Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on June 19, 2026. This is such a valued fundraiser, because it is also our way of saying THANK YOU to our most generous donors and supportive community.
